To make this hanging planter, I have thrown the piece on the Potters wheel with stoneware toasted clay, allowed it to dry and it has been trimmed, then holes have been added for the straps Which are faux suede. The pattern is achieved through wax
resist which is applied to prevent the glaze from touching the clay beneath, creating a resist affect- The toasty speckled clay Comes through the glaze perfectly! This is a large planter which is 15cm tall and 15cm wide.
